Order in Juni, IKAT and hammock

May" ini sangat butuh dukungan dari para supplier yang biasa aku sebut my super hero, gak tanggung untuk proses handmade yang biasa dikejar secepatnya 2 bln harus dikejar hanya 1 bulan. Semua sampel untuk 11 motif IKAT dengan benang yang sama dan 2 IKAT corak motif khusus dengan benang 20s 30s untuk pakaian anak. Sedangkan hammock akan menjadi plakaria yang melelahkan untuk sekitar 50-100 pcs...sangat senang mendapat order ini, namun akan terasa menguras tenaga sekali. Butuh kosentrasi tingkat tinggi...semoga semua bisa teratasi.

IKAT from Tradition to souvenir

Indonesia woven cloth arts have a variety of forms. One of them is IKAT cloth form TROSO JEPARA. Up to now ikat symbolizes people's prides and take part in many traditional ceremonies. Ikat has different types, such as a piece of rectangle cloth with unique motif of Troso, Bali, Lombok, NTB, Irian Jaya, Kalimantan.

Weaving Process
Different to any ordinary woven cloth, it take a month to make a good quality of IKAT with 20 - 500 meters long. It is because there are several steps of preparations such as spinning cotton string, separating anf arranging string into some levels before the weaving process begun. The IKAT cloth is weaved by ATBM ( alat tenun bukan mesin ),it's real by hand and it takes a very long time.
